Students Recognised with Special Award

At Austin Friars St Monica’s we like to praise and reward those pupils who show both outstanding achievement and participation in all aspects of School life. Students who take part in events such as House sporting and musical events, School drama, choirs, swing bands etc are rewarded with House Colours. Historically their has been five levels of badge that a student can achieve through the obtaining of House Colours. However, recently it has become clear that some pupils are achieving the top level badge quite early in their life at the School, and that another final badge was required for those students. The House Special Achievement award is given to those students who deserve the ultimate recognition and praise for their outstanding contribution to School life.

On Thursday morning three students were awarded the Stafford House Special Achievement Award. They go to Helena Wilson, Emma Johnston and Josephine Miles. Over the last three years all the students have taken part in more than 30 events each where House Colours are awarded. They have all played for house sports teams, taken part in the music festival, and were all involved in the School play.

Congratulations to all three students on this wonderful achievement.
